RARE PREBAN antique folding bone (OR SIMILAR) folding ruler from the mid to late 1800s. This beautiful little piece of functional art was exquisitely and finely handmade. Likely originally a part of an architects or draftsmans tool kit. This piece was a labor intensive, finely made expensive tool in its day and is an exquisite piece of the fine craftsmanship of a bygone era today. Extends to 12". Fully function and in fine antique condition. Item was tested with a hot needle to verify that it is NOT celluloid or plastic. Item has nice natural cross hatching grain (see picture). Pre-ban.
