Beautiful large Dansk staved teak salad serving bowl designed by authentic Jens Quistgaard. Large open form with groove around the side for easy grasping. Bowl as been lightly oiled (food grade mineral oil), could be cleaned or treated further. This bowl bears the rare Dansk Designs Denmark "Four Ducks" Logo on bottom. In good vintage condition, with no cracks or chips. Some dings on the rim and light scratches in the interior, consistant with use and age. The Dansk Kobenstyle line was originally manufactured by a Danish supplier, but in 1966, Dansk switched to a French supplier. The earlier Danish-made pieces are marked with Dansk's “four ducks” logo, and are generally more sought-after by collectors than the later French ones. The initials “IHQ” are Jens Quistgaard's mark.
